About Lora's Farm & Wedding Barn

Our Mission

The moments created on your special day should be cherished for a lifetime. That is why we aim to create an unforgettable space & experience for couples to exchange their vows, as they are surrounded by loved ones.

Our History

The land was bought from Ethan Allen in 1795 after he received a land grant from Gov. Wentworth by a Nathan Pratt. The rest of the records were lost when the old town hall burned down. The belief is the house was built in 1799. I don’t know when the barn or chicken house which is now the cottage were built. I would guess shortly after the house was built. The house was used during the Underground Railroad according to records with the Georgia Historical Society. I started the BnB in 2014. It was a dairy farm from inception.
